2) Oral health of adults and seniors of the Canton of Bern - a longitudinal study
Who conducts the studies?
The Clinic for Restorative, Preventive and Pediatric Dentistry of the University of Bern (ZMK).
Aims of the studies:
The research projects investigate the status of oral health and the associated quality of life.
Furthermore, the second study follows changes in oral health status and associated quality of life over time in a prospective manner.
We are looking for:
People who are at least 45 years old and who live in the Canton of Bern.
Procedure of the study:
After you agree to participate in this study:
- You will fill in a questionnaire with questions about your oral health, diet and quality of life.
- A dentist from our team will then carry out an examination of your oral cavity.
- Our team will visit you at home
- If you are then interested in the follow-up study Oral Health of Adults and Seniors of the Canton of Bern - a Longitudinal Study, you will be asked to participate after 5 years and again after another 5 years. The data collection will be done in the same way each time, i.e. you will fill in a questionnaire and undergo a dental examination.
