The zmk bern are training students in dentistry for more than 100 years and are a national and international renowned centre for student training. The five-year Dentistry course, in which the first two years are completed together with human medicine students, aims at consolidating the theoretical and practical aspects of all relevant subject areas relating to the training for general dental treatments.
Around 100 students are intensively trained in challenging specialist issues from science and practice. The curse has a strong focus on practical training, and is based on self-responsibility, which makes it much easier for the young dentists to enter professional life.
Our courses are provided by competent lecturers, senior doctors, and experienced instructors from private practices.
The zmk bern are one of the few centres in the world, which offer integrated synoptic training covering all subjects.
After a successful completing Master program and passing the federal Master examination, the graduates have a level of training that enables them to independently carry out all requiredtreatments for basic dental care and to recognize situations that requires a referral to specialists.
